Regulations and standards

One of the prerequisites for a good brainstorming session is to give free reign to creativity and not yet take into account practical constraints.

However, this is no longer true in the subsequent phases of the process. If you want to efficiently launch a product in public space, this product will have to comply with certain regulations and standards, and there may be quite a few of them where the public space is concerned.

It is therefore advisable to take this into account as early as in the development stage. If you use different subcomponents or materials, for instance, you should make sure that every separate element complies with the rules. This is still not a guarantee for the total product, but it may save headaches and time afterwards.

It's also useful to have companies on board that have their own test facilities. This way you can check yourself whether the product meets certain standards.
